Insulation

About Insulation

Carlisle manufactures an extensive variety of commercial insulation products that provide increased thermal performance and energy efficiency, including polyisocyanurate (polyiso) insulation and block-molded expanded polystyrene (EPS). These products can be used across the entire building envelope – from the foundation to the roof, and everywhere in between.

Energy and Carbon Emissions Savings Benefits of Roof Replacements

Low-sloped roofs comprise the largest thermal envelope surface of most non-residential buildings, which creates an opportunity to cost-effectively improve building energy performance during roof replacement projects. Where an existing roof contains insulation entirely above the deck and requires replacement, model energy codes and standards require that the replacement roof system comply with minimum thermal envelope insulation levels. For buildings constructed prior to the widespread adoption of energy codes, energy-code compliant roof replacements can significantly decrease whole-building energy use and reduce associated costs and carbon emissions.

Polyisocyanurate (Polyiso)

Polyiso is the industry’s premier roofing insulation. It can be attached using a variety of methods and is compatible with all of Carlisle’s single-ply systems.

Tapered Insulation

Carlisle's tapered insulation helps promote rooftop drainage while providing excellent insulating value. Tapered Polyiso minimizes the negative effects of ponding water and extends the service life of a roof.

Insulating Coverboards

Carlisle’s Polyiso and EPS insulating coverboards offer the same protection as gypsum alternatives at a fraction of the weight, making them easier and more cost-effective to install.

Expanded Polystyrene (EPS)

Carlisle EPS insulation features up to 25% recycled content and boasts high R-values, making EPS an energy efficient and environmentally friendly product.

Extruded Polystyrene (XPS)

Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) is a closed-cell commercial-grade insulation that features low thermal conductivity, high resistance to water penetration and high compressive strength.

Non-Halogenated Insulation

Provides the same performance characteristics as standard polyiso products but contain no halogenated flame retardants.
