The Evolution of Sure-White EPDM Continues

Enhanced performance of Sure-White EPDM Pressure-Sensitive Elastoform Flashing

White EPDM stepped onto the scene in the late 1980s and has evolved into a robust system that offers great value to both applicators and building owners alike. Since its inception, Carlisle’s 30+ years of experience with white EPDM has been focused on improving various aspects of the system. These enhancements include formulation improvement, weathering resistance, seam technology, puncture resistance, and more user-friendly flashing products. This track record of innovation has taken a membrane first designed as a 10-year system and transformed it into a long-term, resilient, reflective, and sustainable roofing solution with 25- and 30-year warranty options; but there is always room for improvement.

We are pleased to announce that recent enhancements have been made to the Sure-White EPDM Pressure-Sensitive Elastoform Flashing. Carlisle’s experienced EPDM chemists enhanced the flashing, making it more malleable and adaptable in odd detail situations. Sure-White Pressure-Sensitive Elastoform Flashing now has similar tensile values, “green” strength, and elongation values as Sure-Seal Pressure-Sensitive Elastoform Flashing, giving it the same installation and performance characteristics.

Most notably, the product enhancements allow us to extend the “best if used by date” from 6 months to 9 months which is a welcome change for both applicators and distributors.

THESE IMPROVEMENTS APPLY TO THE FOLLOWING PRODUCTS:
  • Sure-White Pressure-Sensitive Elastoform Flashing
  • Sure-White Pressure-Sensitive Inside/Outside Corners
  • Sure-White Pressure-Sensitive Pourable Sealer Pockets
  • Sure-White Pressure-Sensitive T-Joint Covers
