The National Air Defense Radar Tower, which is one of only five structures of its kind, has been largely refurbished over the last three years, but the existing roof system continued to leak. The water was taking a serious toll on the floors below, posing a threat to the historical Cold War Air Defense artifacts, including a 1958 gap-filler radar antenna, housed within the museum.
